Training Programme on Roles and Responsibilities of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) Members Conducted at APCRDA
A training programme on the roles and responsibilities of Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) Members was conducted at the APCRDA Project Office. The programme was attended by ICC members from APCRDA, Program Management Consultants (PgMCs), Project Monitoring Consultants (PMCs), and various contracting agencies associated with APCRDA projects.
Dr. Bollineni Keerthi, President, Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM), participated as the Resource Person and delivered a presentation on the provisions of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act and the roles and responsibilities of ICC members in addressing workplace complaints and ensuring compliance with the Act.
The training programme was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and seeking clarifications on various aspects of the complaint redressal process. Participants raised questions regarding the procedure for reporting incidents, and the Resource Person explained that complaints can be submitted either in writing or orally as per the provisions of the POSH Act.
Sri V. Ramulu, Group Director (Social Development), APCRDA, attended the programme as the Guest of Honour. He interacted with the participants and emphasized the importance of creating awareness on workplace safety and strengthening institutional mechanisms for prevention and redressal of sexual harassment complaints.
During the feedback session, participants expressed satisfaction with the programme and requested that a refresher training be conducted after one month. Shri Ramulu agreed to organize a refresher training programme accordingly.
The training programme was conducted by Sri M. Mohana Rao, PGMC and coordinated by Ms. Nithisha, Gender Specialist, APCRDA.
