Chief Minister condemns YSRCP attack on ABN Andhra Jyothy office
Attempts to intimidate media through attacks and threats have no place in democracy: CM

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu strongly condemned the attempt of attack by YSR Congress Party men on the office of ABN Andhra Jyothy in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister described the incident as a direct assault on media freedom. He stated that the attack was carried out because the media outlet questioned the stand of Jagan Mohan Reddy on Amaravati.
Chandrababu Naidu criticised the YSRCP for allegedly misusing its own media platforms while resorting to baseless allegations and abusive rhetoric against independent media organizations. He noted that despite facing harassment and conspiracies during the previous five years of YSRCP rule, ABN Andhra Jyothy continued to function without fear.
He further remarked that the participation of sitting MLAs and former ministers, accompanied by mobs in targeting a media office is a clear reflection of the party’s unruly culture.
The Chief Minister also praised ABN Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna for running the newspaper and channel fearlessly for decades despite facing cases, attacks and sustained pressure.
Chandrababu Naidu asserted that attempts to intimidate the media through attacks, protests and threats have no place in a democratic society and such political tactics have become outdated.
He also alleged that the people, especially women have not forgotten the conduct of YSRCP leaders, including their treatment of women and even their own family members during their tenure in power.
The Chief Minister accused the YSRCP of resorting to diversionary politics, stating that instead of responding to the editorial questioning on its alleged conspiracies against Amaravati, the party has chosen to engage in attacks and protests.

హైదరాబాద్లో ఏబీఎన్ ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి కార్యాలయంపై వైసీపీ దాడి యత్నాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు తీవ్రంగా ఖండించారు. ఏబీఎన్ ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి కార్యాలయంపై వైసీపీ నేతలు, రౌడీలు దాడికి దిగడం మీడియా స్వేచ్ఛపై దాడిగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి అభివర్ణించారు. సొంతగా మీడియా సంస్థలను నడుపుతూ… మీడియాను అడ్డుపెట్టుకుని అనైతిక చర్యలకు పాల్పడుతోన్న వైసీపీ… తమను ప్రశ్నించిన ఆంధ్రజ్యోతిపై ఆరోపణలు, దూషణలు చేయడం అసంబద్ధం అన్నారు. వైసీపీ ఐదేళ్ల పాలనలో మీడియా సంస్థలపై, ఆంధ్రజ్యోతిపై అనేక వేధింపులకు, కుట్రలకు పాల్పడినా నిబ్బరంగా నిలిచాయి తప్ప భయపడలేదని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గుర్తు చేశారు. రౌడీ మూకలను వెంటేసుకుని స్వయంగా ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, మాజీ మంత్రులు మీడియా కార్యాలయంపైకి వెళ్లడం వైసీపీ రౌడీ సంస్కృతికి నిదర్శం అని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ వేమూరి రాధాకృష్ణ దశాబ్ధాలుగా కేసులకు, దాడులకు, ఒత్తిళ్లకు భయపడకుండా పత్రికను, ఛానెల్ను నడుపుతున్నారన్నారు. దాడులు, నిరసనలు, బెదిరింపులతో మీడియాను భయపెట్టాలనే వైసీపీ రాజకీయాలకు కాలం చెల్లిందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు స్పష్టం చేశారు. అధికారంలో ఉండగా మహిళల పట్ల, సొంత కుటుంబ సభ్యుల పట్ల వైసీపీ నాయకులు, ఆ పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడు వ్యవహరించిన తీరును మహిళా సమాజం ఎప్పటికీ మర్చిపోదన్నారు. రాజధానిపై వైసీపీ కుట్రలను ప్రశ్నించిన ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి సంపాదకీయానికి సమాధానం చెప్పలేక దాడులు, నిరసనలతో వైసీపీ డైవర్షన్ పాలిటిక్స్కు పాల్పడుతోందని సీఎం చంద్రబాబు దుయ్యబట్టారు.
