Prime Minister changing stance:Chief Minister
Gajuwaka (Visakha dist): Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been has been changing his stance, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy asked TDP President if he had taken assurance on Special Category Status and on Vizag Steel Plant( VSP) before forging an alliance.
Addressing a public meeting here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister recalled that the Prime Minister once charged Naidu of being the most corrupt politician and accused him of using the Polavaram Project as ATM and described him as an embodiment of backstabbing and defections.
What is the rational in aligning with such a corrupt politician, he asked Modi.
“If they are with you, they would become sacred and if they are not with you, do they become corrupt?” he questioned.
Calling the bluff of the 2024 political drama being enacted by the alliance partners TPD, BJP and Jana Sena, the Chief Minister asked them to reveal on what basis they have forged the alliance.
Is there an assurance from Modi that special status would be granted to Andhra Pradesh or VSP would not be privatised, the Chief Minister asked Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
He told the cheering crowd that Centre has backtracked on the privatisation of VSP all these years just because Jagan opposed it.
Nailing the Prime Minister’s lie on the land allotment for Visakha Railway zone by state Government, the Chief Minister said that the Centre refused to accept the land offered for railway zone citing litigations.
He made it clear that a vote for the TDP would only mean privatisation of VSP as they would cite their victory as a referendum.
He asked the people to send across a strong message to Delhi by electing YSRCP candidate to show that they oppose privatisation of VSP.
The Chief Minister said that he would commence State administration from Visakhapatnam after taking oath in the same city that would become the executive capital of the State.
Rebutting the charges of BJP and TDP leaders that development took a back seat during YSRCP rule, the Chief Minister said that the State is on the path of progress with three industrial corridors, 10 industrial nodes, 17 new medical colleges, four sea ports, ten fishing harbours and six fish land centres coming up.
The Chief Minister said while on one hand, Andhra Pradesh stood number one in the ease of doing business (EoDB) for three successive years and MSMEs have got a big boost in the last 59 months, on the other, the State received Rs. 1 lakh crore investments after YSRCP came to power as against Rs. 32000 crore during the TDP rule.
The Uddnam problem was also solved on a permanent basis, he said.
