రాజధాని వార్తలు, అమరావతి: 2026 సెప్టెంబర్ 22న జరిగిన ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర మీడియా అక్రిడిటేషన్ కమిటీ సమావేశంలో చిన్న, మధ్యతరహా పత్రికలకు ప్రభుత్వ అక్రిడిటేషన్ మంజూరు చేయడం ప్రధానాంశంగా నిలిచింది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ వర్కింగ్ జర్నలిస్ట్స్ ఫెడరేషన్ (ఏపీడబ్ల్యూజేఎఫ్) తరపున కమిటీ సభ్యుడిగా ఉన్న జి. ఆంజనేయులు, ఎంపానెల్లో లేని ప్రతి చిన్న, మధ్యతరహా దినపత్రికకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రధాన కార్యాలయంలో కనీసం ఒక్క మీడియా అక్రిడిటేషన్ కార్డును కేటాయించాలని సమాచార, పౌర సంబంధాల (ఐ&పిఆర్) శాఖ డైరెక్టర్కు అధికారికంగా విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు.
గతంలో ఎంపానెల్లో లేని పత్రికలకు క్రమం తప్పకుండా రాష్ట్ర ప్రధాన కార్యాలయంలో అక్రిడిటేషన్ సౌకర్యాలు కల్పించేవారని ఆంజనేయులు గుర్తు చేశారు. ఈ విషయంపై గతంలో ఇచ్చిన హామీను డైరెక్టర్కు గుర్తుచేస్తూ, క్షేత్రస్థాయి నుండి వార్తలు అందిస్తున్న పాత్రికేయుల కార్యాచరణ ప్రయోజనాలను, వృత్తిపరమైన హక్కులను పరిరక్షించడానికి ఈ సౌకర్యాన్ని పునరుద్ధరించడం అత్యవసరం అని ఆయన నొక్కిచెప్పారు.
ఫెడరేషన్ విజ్ఞప్తికి స్పందిస్తూ, ఐ&పిఆర్ డైరెక్టర్ కే.యస్. విశ్వనాథన్ కమిటీకి సానుకూలంగా పరిశీలిస్తామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. అలాగే, సమాచార, పౌర సంబంధాల శాఖ మంత్రితో సంప్రదింపుల అనంతరం తుది విధాన నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటామని తెలిపారు.

Capital News, Amaravati: The granting of government accreditation to small and medium-sized newspapers was a key agenda item during the Andhra Pradesh State Media Accreditation Committee meeting held on September 22, 2026. G. Anjaneyulu, representing the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Federation (APWJF) on the committee, formally requested the Director of Information and Public Relations (I&PR) to allocate at least one media accreditation card at the state headquarters for every small and medium-sized daily newspaper not currently on the government panel.
Anjaneyulu recalled that, in the past, accreditation facilities at the state headquarters were regularly provided to newspapers that were not on the panel. Reminding the Director of previous assurances regarding this matter, he emphasized the urgent need to restore this facility to safeguard the professional rights and operational interests of journalists reporting from the field.
Responding to the Federation’s request, I&PR Director K.S. Viswanathan assured the committee that the matter would be considered favorably. He also stated that a final policy decision would be taken after consulting the Minister for Information and Public Relations.
