Andhra Pradesh Deepens Global AI Partnerships at India AI Impact Summit 2026 –
New Delhi / Amaravati – 20 February 2026
• On the concluding day of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New
Delhi, the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N.
Chandrababu Naidu, held strategic meetings with senior
leadership from leading AI companies including NVIDIA to advance
the State’s AI Living Labs initiative. Discussions focused on
institutional capacity building, AI skilling and deployment of applied
AI solutions across priority sectors.
• The Chief Minister met with NVIDIA’s South Asia leadership. The
discussions on the “AI Living Labs Foundation” were focussed on
immediate steps to progress the collaboration on infrastructure,
governance and sector partnerships.
• The AI Living Labs initiative will operate through a not-for-profit
institutional vehicle, the AI Living Labs Foundation. Designed on a
hub-and-spoke model, Phase I includes a Central Hub and 8–12
spoke institutions to provide shared GPU compute, curated datasets
and innovation sandboxes across the State.
• The initiative is guided by the goal of enabling “One AI-Trained
Individual per Family.” The Foundation will function under a
structured governance framework with a Board of Directors,
thematic committees including audit and ethics oversight, and CEOled executive management to ensure transparency and responsible
AI adoption.
• Greenko, Vatikutti Foundation and Yotta have expressed their
willingness to nominate their representatives on the Board, marking
early industry and philanthropic participation.
• Discussions with NVIDIA and others included AI infrastructure,
educator enablement, enterprise AI governance, sovereign AI
frameworks and scalable deployment models for public institutions.
Support was discussed for applied use cases in agriculture,
healthcare, manufacturing, fintech, AVGC and Digital Public
Infrastructure, with pilots to be scaled through the Living Labs. The
AI Living Labs foundation will observe competitive, transparent
processes to ensure flexibility and avoid vendor lock-in. The first two
waves of educator and student skilling programs are targeted within
six months.
• Speaking after the meetings, the Honourable Chief Minister said,
“We believe that to democratise access to the knowledge, skills,
infrastructure and innovation, Governments must be anchors for
future ready initiatives. We have established AI Living Labs as a
Section-8 institutional platform to anchor AI research, skilling,
innovation and deployment across Andhra Pradesh. The labs have
been envisioned to function as a multi-stakeholder platform
enabling collaboration and with this at the centre we invite leading
companies and institutions across the AI ecosystem to join this
transformative initiative”.
• Andhra Pradesh is building a future-ready AI ecosystem anchored
in applied learning, responsible governance and inclusive growth.
Through the AI Living Labs Foundation, the State aims to create
shared infrastructure, sector-driven AI applications and large-scale
skilling pathways across regions.
