తిరుపతి, ఫిబ్రవరి 17 :- మన సంస్కృతి, వారసత్వాన్ని పరిరక్షించడంలో దేవాలయాలపాత్ర చాలా ప్రధానమైనదని ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు అన్నారు. దేవాలయాలు కేవలం ఆధ్యాత్మిక కేంద్రాలు మాత్రమే కాకుండా… అభివృద్ధికి ఆదాయ వనరులుగా ఉంటున్నాయని తెలిపారు. తిరుపతిలో అంతర్జాతీయ ఆలయాల సదస్సులో సోమవారం ముఖ్యమంత్రి పాల్గొన్నారు. దేవాలయ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థను పటిష్టపరచడం, వాటికి సాధికారత కల్పించడం, ఆధ్యాత్మిక వాతావరణాన్ని మరింత మెరుగుపరిచే విషయంలో ఐటీసీఎక్స్ సేవలు అందిస్తోందని అన్నారు. 17 దేశాల నుంచి 1,581 దేవాలయాలను ఏకంచేస్తూ ఇటువంటి మంచి కార్యక్రమానికి ఐటీసీఎక్స్ శ్రీకారం చుట్టడం అభినందనీయమన్నారు. దేవాలయాల్లో మొదటిసారి ఎన్టీఆర్ అన్నదానాన్ని 1983-84లో ప్రారంభించారు. రూ. 2 వేల కోట్లతో ప్రస్తుతం కార్పస్ ఉంది. రూ. 440 కోట్ల కార్పస్తో 2003లో ప్రాణదానం పథకాన్ని ప్రారంభించాం.
ఆలయాల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థ రూ.6 లక్షల కోట్లు
సుసంపన్నమైన భవిష్యత్తును నిర్మించేందుకు దేవాలయ వారసత్వాన్ని, ఆధ్యాత్మికతను, సాంకేతిక బలాన్ని వినియోగించుకోవాలని దేశాన్ని కోరుతున్నా. ఆధ్యాత్మిక సంపద రక్షణలో ఏఐ ఇంటిగ్రేషన్, ఫిన్టెక్ సొల్యూషన్స్, విరాళాల వినియోగం, సుస్థిరత, భద్రత, రద్దీ నియంత్రణ, ఆర్థిక పారదర్శకతను ఐటీసీఎక్స్ చెబుతోందని, ఆలయాల నిధుల నిర్వహణ, చట్టపరమైన సవాళ్లకు ఐసీటీఎక్స్ పరిష్కార మార్గాలను చూపింస్తుందని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రవేశపెట్టిన వికసిత్ భారత్ -2047కు అనుగుణంగా ఐసీటీఎక్స్ దేవాలయాల నిర్వహణ, ఆర్థికాభివృద్ధికి సహకరిస్తూ ప్రపంచంలో దేవాలయాలకు సహకారాన్ని అందిస్తోందని తెలిపారు. భారతదేశంలోని అన్ని ఆలయాల ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థ విలువ రూ.5 లక్షల కోట్ల నుంచి రూ.6 లక్షల కోట్ల వరకు ఉంటుందని అన్నారు. ఇంతటి విలువైన ఈ సంపదను కాపాడుకోవాలంటే ఆలయాల నిర్వహణలో పారదర్శకత అవసరమని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.
ఆలయ బోర్డుల్లో బ్రాహ్మణులకు, నాయీ బ్రాహ్మణులకు అవకాశం
ఆలయ సాంప్రదాయాల్లో బ్రాహ్మణులకు, నాయీ బ్రాహ్మణులకు ఉన్న అనుబంధాన్ని గుర్తించి ఆలయాల ట్రస్ట్ బోర్డుల్లో వారికి అవకాశాలు కల్పించాం. భక్తులు ఆలయాలను సంతోషంగా సందర్శించేందుకు సౌకర్యాలు కల్పిస్తూ చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నాం. ఆలయాల్లో మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు కల్పించి భక్తులకు ఇబ్బంది లేకుండా చూడటం ప్రభుత్వ విధానంగా పెట్టుకున్నాం. అర్చకుల సంక్షేమాన్ని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని గౌరవ వేతనాన్ని రూ.15 వేలకు పెంచాం. వేద విద్యను అభ్యసించిన వారికి నిరుద్యోగ భృతి కింద రూ.3 వేలు చెల్లిస్తున్నాం. మా ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పడిన 7 నెలల్లోనే దేవాలయాల అభివృద్ధికి రూ.134 కోట్లు కేటాయించి అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నాం. పరిమిత ఆదాయం ఉన్న చిన్న దేవాలయాల మనుగడకు దూప దీప నైవేద్యానికి అందించే సాయాన్ని రూ.10 వేలకు పెంచామని అన్నారు.
దేవతల రాజధాని నిర్మిస్తున్నాం
దేవేంద్రుడి రాజధాని స్ఫూర్తితో దేవతల నివాసంగా అమరావతి రాజధాని నిర్మిస్తున్నాం. తిరుమలలో 75 శాతం పచ్చదనం ఉంచేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాం. దేవునికి సేవ చేయడమంటే మానవాళికి సేవ చేయడమే. ఆలయ నిర్వహణలో అవినీతికి తావులేకుండా చేస్తాం. వెంకటేశ్వరస్వామి దగ్గర మోసం చేస్తే ఆయన క్షమించరు. ప్రతి రాష్ట్ర రాజధానిలో వెంకటేశ్వరస్వామి దేవాలయం ఉండాలి.
ఐవీఆర్ఎస్ ద్వారా అభిప్రాయాలు తీసుకుంటున్నాం
రాష్ట్రంలో టెంపుల్ టూరిజానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం అధిక ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తోంది. 2024లో ఏపీ 21 కోట్ల మంది ఆలయాలను సందర్శించారు. తిరుమల, శ్రీశైలం వంటి ఎన్నో పుణ్యక్షేత్రాలకు నిలయంగా ఏపీ ఉంది. జ్యోతిర్లింగాలు, శక్తిపీఠాలు, పంచారామాలు కొలువై ఉన్నాయి. రాష్ట్ర సంస్కృతిని చాటేందుకు దేవాదాయ శాఖ కృషి చేస్తోంది. వేద, ఆగమ సంప్రదాయాల విషయాలలో స్వేచ్ఛను కల్పించాం. దేవాదాయ శాఖలో సంస్కరణలు ప్రవేశపెట్టాం. యాత్రికులు, భక్తుల నుంచి అభిప్రాయాలను సేకరించేందుకు ఎక్కడా లేని విధంగా ఐవీఆర్ఎస్ ద్వారా అభిప్రాయాలు తీసుకుంటున్నాం. దేవాలయాల సందర్శనకు వచ్చే వారికి పూర్తి స్థాయిలో సంతృప్తిని కల్పించేందుకు అన్ని చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాం.

Tirupati, February 17, 2025: Addressing the second edition of the International Temples Convention & Expo (ITCX) 2025 in Tirupati, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu CM Naidu outlined his vision of a Self-Sustaining, Technology-Driven Temple Ecosystem, blending faith with modern governance. He also emphasised the significance of temple heritage, technological integration, and economic development in temple ecosystems.
The event was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of State for Power and Renewable Energy Sripad Yesso Naik, TTD Chairman BR Naidu, and ITCX Founder Giresh Vasudev Kulkarni.
Calling ITCX the ‘Maha Kumbh of temples,’ CM Chandrababu Naidu underscored the impact of temple conventions in shaping discussions on temple administration, economic contribution, and cultural preservation. He pointed out that ITCX had previously held its first conclave in Varanasi, making Tirupati a natural venue for its latest edition.
With participation from 1,581 temples across multiple countries, 685 virtual attendees, 111 speakers, 15 workshops, and 60 stalls, the event was a landmark in global temple collaboration.
Strengthening Temple Economy and Global Heritage
The Chief Minister highlighted the evolving role of temples as economic and cultural hubs, estimating temple-related activities in India at ₹6 lakh crore. He recalled the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s (NTR) initiation of the Annadanam scheme in 1983-84, which has since grown to a corpus of ₹2,000 crore in Sri Venkateswara Temple. Likewise, the Pranadanam scheme, launched by him in 2003 with a corpus of ₹440 crore, continues to fund life-saving efforts.
Balaji Temples in Every State Capital
The Chief Minister announced that his government would establish Balaji temples in every state capital and across major international cities to unite devotees and promote spiritual heritage globally. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and ITCX will collaborate on expanding temple presence worldwide, he added.
Harnessing AI and Technology for Temple Management
Recognising India’s first-mover advantage in technology adoption, CM Chandrababu Naidu advocated for integrating AI, digital tools, and fintech solutions to enhance temple administration. He stressed that while India is at the forefront of technological advancements, faith remains irreplaceable.
“ITCX 2025 focuses on AI integration, sustainability, security, and financial transparency,” CM stated. He called for efficient fund management, AI-powered surveillance, RFID-based tokens for crowd control, and digital governance to ensure seamless temple operations. The Andhra Pradesh government’s initiatives include an IVRS-based feedback system and mechanized sanitation for maintaining temple hygiene.
Commitment to Temple Security and Autonomy
CM Chandrababu Naidu has announced key reforms to enhance temple security and ensure self-sustaining temple management. As part of these efforts, temple Trust Boards will be expanded to include members from the Brahmin and Nayee Brahmin communities. A dedicated committee will be formed to oversee temple security, while a Temple Tourism Committee, comprising ministers from the Forest, Endowment, and Tourism departments, will be established to promote religious tourism.
Additionally, the Dharmika Parishad will be strengthened under the Endowments Act to improve governance. Demonstrating the government’s commitment to temple preservation, ₹134 crore from the Common Good Fund has been allocated for temple renovations in the past seven months.
Preserving Andhra Pradesh’s Temple Legacy
With 27,000 temples and 21 crore annual pilgrims, Andhra Pradesh remains a spiritual powerhouse. CM Naidu emphasized enhancing archaka (priest) remuneration, increasing the stipend for unemployed Vedic scholars to ₹3,000, and ensuring greater autonomy in temple and Vedic affairs.
“We are building Amaravati as the abode of angels, inspired by Devendra’s capital, and we urge devotees to visit after their Balaji darshan,” he stated. Additionally, he committed to preserving Tirumala’s 75% green cover and promoting environmental sustainability.
“Serving God is serving humanity,” he affirmed, advocating for temples to drive social impact. He reaffirmed his commitment to zero corruption in temple management, asserting, “If you commit fraud near Tirumala Balaji temple, he will not forgive you.”
A United Future: Integrating Temples with National Growth
Aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vikasit Bharat 2047 agenda, Chandrababu Naidu highlighted India’s immense global potential. He projected that India will become the world’s third-largest economy by 2029 and one of the top two by 2047. He also emphasized that by 2047, Indians will emerge as the most influential global community, leveraging the nation’s demographic dividend to gain a strategic edge over aging advanced economies.
Concluding his address, the Chief Minster endorsed the ITCX initiative, aimed at uniting Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Jains in a collective cultural and economic movement. He urged the nation to harness its temple heritage, spirituality, and technological strength to build a prosperous future for all.
“Let us embrace our rich traditions and modern innovations to shape a strong and self-reliant India,” he declared, ending with the resounding chants of “Namo Venkatesaya! Govinda Govinda!”
