AIIMS Mangalagiri Conducts School Health Awareness Drive as Part of International Nurses Day Celebrations
AIIMS Mangalagiri successfully conducted a School Health Awareness Programme on 22nd April 2026 at Kandru Kamala Municipal High Schoolu Mangalagiri, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
The programme was organized by the Department of Nursing Services and College of Nursing, AIIMS Mangalagiri, with the objective of promoting health awareness and hygienic practices among school students.
As part of the initiative, informative sessions were delivered focusing on personal hygiene, adolescent health, and preventive healthcare. A key highlight of the programme was, in association with the Rotary Club of Mangalagiri, sanitary pads were distributed to all school girls, promoting menstrual hygiene and awareness.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, making it a meaningful outreach effort towards community health promotion.
This School health programme was successfully organised under the guidance of Prof.Dr. Danasu, Principal, College of Nursing, Dr. Muthuvenkatachalam, Chief Nursing Officer, Mr. Dhanashekar, Deputy Nursing Superintendent.
AIIMS Mangalagiri remains committed to strengthening community engagement through such initiatives, contributing to improved public health awareness and practices among young students.
