Weekend trekking is popular in America and Europe. Trekking is associated with religion in our country. Going on yatras once a year and visiting God in cowls on top of the hills is a habit and tradition that comes from generation to generation. Hesitating to count mountains even in the form of devotion. Separate hillbilly from religion. Look how great it is! Religion is personal. It belongs to the past. Let’s live in the present… Let’s count the hills to enjoy the beauty of nature… Let’s bask in the shadows of the wild mother’s eyelids… Going to the hills means understanding the diversity of life. Respecting diversity. Preparing ourselves to live in a diverse society. Getting rid of laziness. Attaining mental and physical health. How difficult it is to walk in the hills… to face those difficulties willingly. Inhaling healthy oxygen. Indulging in happiness… We are getting used to cities and civilization and are forgetting our roots. Our roots are in the forests and hills. Let us visit them from time to time and experience an indescribable joy.
Trekking is not just about going to the Himalayas, climbing Mount Everest, or doing the Amarnath Yatra. Trekking means walking around the hills around us and getting to know their slopes. Immerse yourself in their beauty. When we were children, when we went to our grandmother’s and grandfather’s house, how happy they were! How riotous! What a change! How about touching childhood now! If we go trekking, we will get the same feeling even now. Getting used to cities and civilization, we are forgetting our roots. Our roots are in the forest. are in the hills. We get an indescribable joy in visiting them from time to time. Trekking should be a part of life. To keep ourselves fresh we should go trekking often. Lungs should be filled with pure oxygen. Every day of the week and every day of the month should rest in the lap of the forest mother. Age is not a barrier for trekking. Age is just a number.
Mangalagiri means the Panakala Lakshmi Nrisimhaswamy temple, the darshan of Gandalayaswamy enshrined on the hill, and the journey up the stairs usually reminds everyone. But it can be said that the trekking track set up under the auspices of the Forest Department with the special initiative of Constituency MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (RK) is magnificent. The beauty of the hill seen while walking on the trekking track makes us hooked. A large number of visitors and local people are coming to walk the trekking route every day because of the natural beauty that attracts them! Several view points arranged by the forest department in the middle of the path on the hill are particularly impressive to the visitors. It is remarkable that they show great enthusiasm for taking photos. And the beauty of the natural rock is reflected in the rocks on the trekking track. In a way those silent rocks touch our minds. On the trekking route, the hills are greeted by trees. When the wind blows, the reeds shake their heads with joy. When the strong winds blow, the great trees bow their heads and smile. The two trees intertwine. They have no racial discrimination. Like us they have no caste, no religion, no color discrimination at all. Everything coexists. Some rise to the sky. Some crawl on the ground. One tree supports another tree and grows up. Given that opportunity, the tree would not mind. What is its power, what is its survival. The life of something is its own. At the end of life, they disappear forever in the lap of the wild mother. Coming into this world is as natural as leaving it. We do not know this principle of nature as the trees and birds know it. On the hill the animals roam, which herd belongs to. The safety of each animal is the collective responsibility of that group. What a collective philosophy in them! They cannot survive if they are not united. We cannot live alone. Can’t think alone in a group. They stay in groups and think in groups. Birds build nests on trees. How many of them! How strong is it! How skillful it is! It is with that nose that they build their nests, lay their eggs and hatch the young. They roam freely in the sky. No matter how far they travel. View the beauty of the forest from the sky. The whole hill thrills with the awakening of the sun’s rays, the greeting of the clouds and the impact of the cool winds. To enjoy this beauty, everyone should trek up the hill at least once a month and bask in the shadows of the forest mother’s eyelids. Why delay… you too can enjoy a fun trekking with your family members and friends.

అమెరికా, యూరప్ దేశాల్లోని వారికి వారాంతంలో ట్రెక్కింగ్ ఒక వ్యాపకం. మన దేశంలో ట్రెక్కింగ్ మతంతో ముడిపడిపోయింది. ఏడాది కొకసారి యాత్రలకు వెళ్ళడం, కొండల పైనున్న కోవెలలో దేవుణ్ణి దర్శించడం తరతరాలుగా వస్తున్న అలవాటు, ఆచారం. భక్తి రూపేణా అయినా కొండలెక్కడానికి వెనుకాడం. కొండలెక్కడాన్ని మతంనుంచి విడదీయండి. ఎంత మహాద్భుతంగా ఉంటుందో చూడండి! మతం వ్యక్తిగతం. అది గతానికి చెందినది. వర్తమానంలో జీవిద్దాం రండి… ప్రకృతి సౌందర్యానందాన్ని ఆస్వాదించాలంటే కొండలెక్కుదాం… అడవి తల్లి కనురెప్పల నీడల్లో సేదదీరుదాం రండి… కొండకు వెళ్ళడమంటే జీవ వైవిధ్యాన్ని అర్థం చేసుకోవడం. వైవిధ్యాన్ని గౌరవించడం. వైవిధ్యమైన సమాజంలో బతకడానికి మనని మనం సిద్ధం చేసుకోవడం. బద్దకాన్ని వదిలించేయడం. మానసిక, శారీరక ఆరోగ్యాన్ని పొందడం. కొండల్లో నడక ఎంత కష్టమో… ఆ కష్టాల్ని ఇష్టంగా ఎదుర్కోవడం. ఆరోగ్యమైన ప్రాణవాయువును పీల్చుకోవడం. ఆనందంతో తాండవమాడటం… నగరాలకు, నాగరికతకు అలవాటు పడి మన మూలాలను మర్చిపోతున్నాం. మన మూలాలు అడవులు, కొండల్లోనే ఉన్నాయి. అప్పుడప్పుడూ వాటిని దర్శించి ఒక అనిర్వచనీయ ఆనందాన్ని పొందుదాం.
ట్రెక్కింగ్ అంటే.కేవలం హిమాలయాలకు వెళ్ళడమో, ఎవరెస్టు శిఖరాన్ని అధిరోహించడమో, అమర్నాథ్ యాత్ర చేయడమోకాదు. ట్రెక్కింగ్ అంటే మన చుట్టూ ఉండే కొండ కోనలను తిరుగుతూ, వాటి ఆనుపానులను తెలుసుకోవడం. వాటి సౌందర్యానందంలో మునిగి తేలడం. చిన్నప్పుడు మన అమ్మమ్మ గారింటికో, నాన్నమ్మ గారింటికో వెళ్ళినప్పుడు ఎంత ఆనందంగా గడిపే వాళ్ళమో! ఎంత అల్లరి చేసేవాళ్ళమో! ఎంత మారాం చేసేవాళ్ళమో! ఇప్పుడా బాల్యాన్ని తలుచుకుంటే ఎలా ఉంటుంది! ట్రెక్కింగ్ కు వెళ్ళితే సరిగ్గా ఇప్పుడు కూడా అదే అనుభూతి పొందుతాం. నగరాలకు, నాగరికతకు అలవాటు పడి మన మూలాలను మర్చిపోతున్నాం. మన మూలాలు అడవిలోనే ఉన్నాయి. కొండల్లోనే ఉన్నాయి. అప్పుడప్పుడూ వాటిని దర్శించడంలో ఒక అనిర్వచనీయ ఆనందాన్ని పొందుతాం. జీవితంలో ట్రెక్కింగ్ ఒక భాగమై పోవాలి. మనల్ని మనం తాజాగా ఉంచుకోవడం కోసం ట్రెక్కింగ్ కు తరచూ వెళుతూ ఉండాలి. ఊపిరితిత్తుల నిండా స్వచ్చమైన ప్రాణవాయువును పీల్చుకోవాలి. వారానికొక్క రోజైనా, నెలకొక్క రోజైనా అడవి తల్లి ఒడిలో సేద తీరాలి. ట్రెక్కింగ్కు వయసు అడ్డం కాదు. వయసు కేవలం అంకె మాత్రమే.
మంగళగిరి అనగానే పానకాల లక్ష్మీ నృసింహస్వామి ఆలయం, కొండపై వేంచేసియున్న గండాలయస్వామి వారి దర్శనం, దాని కోసం మెట్లు మార్గ ప్రయాణం సాధారణంగా ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ గుర్తుకు వస్తుంది. అయితే నియోజకవర్గ ఎమ్మెల్యే ఆళ్ల రామకృష్ణారెడ్డి (RK) ప్రత్యేక చొరవతో అటవీశాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ట్రెక్కింగ్ ట్రాక్ మహాద్భుతమని చెప్పవచ్చు. ట్రెక్కింగ్ ట్రాక్ మార్గంలో కొండపైకి నడిచి వెళ్లేటప్పుడు కనిపించే ఆ కొండ అందాలు మనల్ని ఇట్టే కట్టిపడేస్తాయి. నానాటికీ ట్రెక్కింగ్ మార్గంలో నడిచేందుకు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో సందర్శకులు, స్థానిక ప్రజలు వస్తున్నారంటే ఆ ప్రకృతి అందాలు వారిని ఎంతగా ఆకర్షిస్తున్నాయో! కొండపై మార్గం మధ్యలో అటవీశాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన పలు వ్యూ పాయింట్లు సందర్శకులను విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకుంటున్నాయి. ఫొటోలు తీసుకునేందుకు ఎంతో ఉత్సాహం చూపించడం విశేషం. ఇక ట్రెక్కింగ్ ట్రాక్ మార్గంలో ఉన్న రాళ్ళలో సహజ శిలా సౌందర్యం ఉట్టిపడుతోంది. ఒక విధంగా ఆ మౌన శిలలు మన మనస్సులను హత్తుకుంటాయి. ట్రెక్కింగ్ మార్గంలో, కొండపై చెట్లు పలకరించినట్టుంటాయి. గాలి వీచినప్పుడు రెల్లు పొదలు ఆనందంతో తలలూపుతాయి. ఈదురు గాలులు వీస్తే మహావృక్షాలు తల విరబోసుకుని నవ్వినట్టుంటాయి. రెండుచెట్లు పెనవేసుకుంటాయి. వాటికి జాతి వివక్షలేదు. మన లాగా వాటికి కులం లేదు, మతం లేదు, వర్ణ వివక్ష అసలే లేదు. అన్నీ సహజీవనం చేస్తుంటాయి. కొన్ని ఆకాశానికి ఎగబాకుతుంటాయి. కొన్ని నేలపైనే పాకుతుంటాయి. ఒక చెట్టును ఆసరా చేసుకుని మరొక చెట్టు పైకి పెరుగుతుంటుంది. ఆ అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన చెట్టుకు అభ్యంతరం ఉండదు. దేని శక్తి దానిది, దేని మనుగడ దానిది. దేని ఆయుష్షు దానిది. ఆయువు తీరగానే అడవి తల్లి ఒడిలోనే శాశ్వతంగా కనుమూస్తాయి. ఈ లోకంలోకి రావడం ఎంత సహజమో, నిష్క్రమించడమూ అంతే సహజం. ఈ ప్రకృతి సూత్రం చెట్లకు, పక్షులకు తెలిసినట్టుగా మనకు తెలియదు గాక తెలియదు. కొండపై జంతువులు తిరుగాడుతుంటాయి, దేని గుంపు దానిది. ప్రతి జంతువు భద్రత ఆ గుంపు సమిష్టి బాధ్యత. వాటిలో ఎంత సమిష్టి తత్వమో! సమిష్టిగా లేకపోతే మనుగడ సాగించలేవు. మనలా ఒంటరిగా బతకలేవు. సమూహంలో ఉండి ఒంటరిగా ఆలోచించలేవు. అవి సమూహంలోనే ఉండి సమూహంగానే ఆలోచిస్తాయి. చెట్లపైన పక్షులు గూళ్ళు కట్టుకుంటాయి. వాటి ముక్కెంత! దాని బలమెంత! దాని నైపుణ్యమెంత! ఆ ముక్కుతోనే పుల్ల పుల్ల ఏరి గూళ్ళు కట్టుకుని, గుడ్లు పెట్టి పిల్లల్ని పొదుగుతాయి. ఆకాశంలో స్వేచ్చగా విహరిస్తాయి. ఎంత దూరమైనా ప్రయాణిస్తాయి. ఆకాశం నుంచే అడవి అందాలను వీక్షిస్తాయి. సూర్య కిరణాల మేలుకొలుపులు, మేఘాల పలకరింపులు, వీస్తున్న చల్లని గాలుల తాకిడితో కొండంతా పులకరింపులు. ఈ సౌందర్యానందాన్ని ఆస్వాదించాలంటే ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ కనీసం నెలకు ఒకసారైనా ట్రెక్కింగ్ మార్గంలో కొండ ఎక్కి అడవి తల్లి కనురెప్పల నీడల్లో సేదతీరాల్సిందే. ఇంకెందుకు ఆలస్యం… మీరు కూడా ఒకసారి సరదాగా మీమీ కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో, స్నేహితులతో కలిసి సరదాగా ట్రెక్కింగ్ చేసేయండి మరి.
