This news came late by the hostellors who reported that –
Food poisoning in SRM UNIVERSITY AP , since Monday 3rd 11-2025.
Students wonder what type of non veg was served on Sunday.
When students asked they separately taken to the room and treat them individually.
It so appears that one student when you ask he was given expired tablets which further worsened
DSC an in-house commitee of srm asks that what right you have to ask when questions were asked by the hostellors about food
Some students chosen to go home who live near by places le Vijayawada .
Now It seems that chicken and eggs were taken out of the menu by sending email.
It seems food safety people were managed, so it wont come yo the notice of government
Fior safety people came and They just stayed for 10 minutes in the campus, and asked for temporary suspension of non veg food just for a week or two.

It also seems that in house dr not available when needed. compounders were available.
It seems that Dr s came into pic when medical vertificate are required by the atydents
It’s pure negligence and non responsibility of the SRM UNIVERSITY AP AS noted by a hostellers
Bec student committee is just for the name sake and they dont take any suggestions they just serve food whatever they want, quips a btech hosteller student.
This University is in the heart of capital amaravati,
300 student’s were affecting by this food poisoning .
Boys and girls hostels affected .
They went to see college hospital for treatment.
Univ dr temporary gave treatment. And stalled serving non veg food .
SRM university ap shud focus in student hostels and
Take proper food standards and maintain . Else students health is at risk as reported by the hostellors .
Govt of AP should inquire and take appropriate action.

అమరావతి, ఏపీ : ఈ నెల నవంబర్ 3, 2025 న యస్ ఆర్ యం యూనివర్సిటీ అమరావతి హాస్టల్ లోని విద్యార్థులు కల్తీ ఆహరం తిని అస్వస్థకు గురయ్యారు. ఆదివారం ఇచ్చిన నాన్వెజ్ భోజనమే కారణమేమోనని వాపోతున్నారు. విద్యార్థులు ప్రశ్నించగా వారిని ప్రత్యేక గదులకు తీసుకెళ్లి వేరుగా చికిత్స అందించి గుమ్మనంగా సర్ది చెప్తున్నారన్నారు. ఒక విద్యార్థి కి గడువు ముగిసిన మందులు ఇవ్వడం అత్యంత బాధాకరమని చెప్తున్నారు. యూనివర్సిటీలోని DSC (ఇన్హౌస్ కమిటీ) సభ్యులు, హాస్టల్ విద్యార్థులు ఆహారం గురించి ప్రశ్నించగా –
“మీకు ప్రశ్నించే హక్కు ఎవరు ఇచ్చారు?” అని ప్రతిగా అడిగారని సమాచారం. కొంతమంది విద్యార్థులు, ముఖ్యంగా విజయవాడ వంటి సమీప ప్రాంతాల వారు, ఇళ్లకు వెళ్లిపోయారని సమాచారం. ప్రస్తునానికి యూనివర్సిటీ ఈమెయిల్ ద్వారా చికెన్ ,గుడ్లను మెనూ నుంచి తొలగించింది.
ఆహార భద్రత అధికారులను కూడా ప్రభావితం చేసినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది, అందుకే ప్రభుత్వానికి ఈ విషయం సక్రమంగా తెలియలేదని విద్యార్థులు అంటున్నారు. ఫుడ్ సేఫ్టీ అధికారులు క్యాంపస్లో కేవలం 10 నిమిషాలపాటు మాత్రమే ఉన్నారని, తాత్కాలికంగా ఒకటి లేదా రెండు వారాల పాటు నాన్వెజ్ భోజనాన్ని నిలిపివేయాలని సూచించి వెళ్లిపోయారని సమాచారం. ఒక విద్యార్థి వ్యాఖ్యానిస్తూ, “SRM యూనివర్సిటీ సరైన జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాల్సింది — కానీ దురదృష్టవశాత్తూ అలాంటి బాధ్యత కనిపించలేదు!” అంతేకాదు, యూనివర్సిటీ డాక్టర్ అవసరమైనప్పుడు అందుబాటులో లేరని,
కేవలం కంపౌండర్లు మాత్రమే ఉన్నారని విద్యార్థులు తెలిపారు.
డాక్టర్లు కేవలం మెడికల్ సర్టిఫికెట్లు అవసరమైనప్పుడు మాత్రమే వస్తారని కూడా విద్యార్థులు చెబుతున్నారు. ఇది SRM యూనివర్సిటీ ఏపీ నిర్లక్ష్యం , బాధ్యతారాహిత్యానికి నిదర్శనం అని హాస్టల్ విద్యార్థులు పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఒక బీటెక్ హాస్టల్ విద్యార్థి వ్యాఖ్యానిస్తూ,
“విద్యార్థి కమిటీ కేవలం పేరుకే ఉంది; మా సూచనలు ఎవరూ పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకోరు. వాళ్లు కావాలనుకున్న ఆహారమే ఇస్తారు.”
ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాజధాని అమరావతిలోని ఈ యూనివర్సిటీలో జరిగిన ఈ ఘటనలో, 300 మంది విద్యార్థులు కల్తీ ఆహరం తిని విద్యార్థినీ విద్యార్థులు అస్వస్థకు గురయ్యారు. కొంతమంది విద్యార్థులు యూనివర్సిటీ ఆసుపత్రిలో చికిత్స పొందారు. SRM యూనివర్సిటీ ఏపీ విద్యార్థుల హాస్టళ్లలో సరైన ఆహార ప్రమాణాలు పాటించాలి,
విద్యార్థుల ఆరోగ్యం ప్రమాదంలో పడకుండా తగిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని విద్యార్థులు కోరుతున్నారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం ఈ విచారణ జరిపి తగిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని విద్యార్థులు కోరుతున్నారు.
