CII Partnership Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on Nov,14 and 15
Partnership Summit will be held in Visakhapatnam for two days on November 14 and 15.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand reviewed the preparations for this event with the officials of the respective departments at the State Secretariat on Wednesday. Speaking on this occasion, the CS said that all aspects related to the registration and other arrangements related to the summit should be done online using technology. He instructed the officials of the Industries Department and the Visakhapatnam District Collector and other concerned officials to start appropriate preparations from now on to organize the Summit successfully.He said that the Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department will be the nodal officer on behalf of the state government to coordinate with the CII from time to time regarding the arrangements for the organization of the Summit. He said that since a large number of representatives from the Central Government, including Union Ministers,senior officials of various departments, and the Confederation of Indian Industry and other organizations will participate in this summit, it is necessary to make appropriate and robust arrangements accordingly. He clarified that the secretaries of the respective departments should identify the content related to the respective projects and schemes and take appropriate steps to showcase the important projects of the state in the exhibition at the Summit. CS Vijayanand told the Director of Information to immediately finalize the media partner for the Summit.
Speaking at the meeting, Industries and Commerce Secretary Dr. N. Yuvraj said that this is the first working committee meeting under the chairmanship of the CS regarding the 30th CII Partnership Summit.He said that the second meeting will be held on the 16th of this month.He said that a Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting will be held after that. He said that by the next working committee meeting, the logo of the summit, videos and other materials related to various campaigns will be prepared. He said that as part of the partnership summit to be held in Visakhapatnam, MoUs related to road shows, exhibitions and many projects will be signed. He said that sector-wise responsibilities are being assigned to various departments to make the partnership summit a success. In addition, city beautification, exhibition, protocol, reception, accommodation, transport and Logistics, Cultural, Media, Traffic and Security commitees will also be formed.
APIIC MD Abhishek Kishore, Director I&PR Himanshu Shukla, Additional Director of Industries Ramalingeswara Raju, NEDCAP MD Kamalakar Babu, CII Southern Regional Director NM Jayesh, ED Sai Kat Rai Chowdhury, AP Head B Srinivas Satish,GM J. Emmanuel Mahesh Kumar, senior Consultant Rajagopal and others participated in this meeting. Also, MAUD Principal Secretary S. Suresh Kumar, Tourism Corporation MD Amrapali, IT Secretary K. Bhaskar, Food Processing Secretary Chiranjeevi Chowdhury and other officials participated virtually.
