TTD Srinivasa Kalyanams organized across the UK and Europe concluded on a grand scale
Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams Srinivasa Kalyanams performed across the UK and Europe concluded last week with splendid events in UK’s Belfast, Basingstoke, Milton Keynes, and Gloucester on October 10th, 12th, 14th, and 15th respectively.
Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS), an entity of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, as part of services offered to NRIs of AP origin, closely coordinated with the TTD and NRI religious and cultural organizations and ensured that all Kalyanams were organized as per Vykhanasa Aagamam tradition. Hindu volunteer organizations in the UK and Europe made all the necessary arrangements for these events, including providing boarding and lodging facilities for the visiting TTD priests and Vedic pundits.
Thousands of NRI devotees participated in these events and witnessed Lord Venkateswara’s splendid Kalyanams at all locations. Sri G Ramesh, Sri Satish from Belfast (North Ireland); Sri M Arun, Smt. Sreeni from Basingstoke (London); Sri M Lokanadha, Sri C Janardhana from Milton Keynes; Sri G Siva Rama, Sri E Narasimha, Sri A Shiva from Gloucester along with Hindu volunteer organizations in the UK made all the necessary arrangements for the events.
Sri Venkat S. Medapati, President of APNRT Society, released a press note on the successful completion of Srinivasa Kalyanam events in various cities of the UK and Europe.
At the request of NRI Telugu and other spiritual & cultural associations in the UK and Europe, TTD Srinivasa Kalyanams were organized from September 30th till October 15th in nine major cities of the UK and Europe. TTD priests and Vedic pundits performed the events as per Vykhanasa Aagamam tradition. NRI devotees participated in large numbers in all of these APNRTS-facilitated TTD events and witnessed Lord Venkateswara’s splendid Kalyanams.
Sri Venkat Medapati informed that Kalyanam events are being organized every year in various countries at the request of NRI Telugu and other spiritual and cultural associations, following the directives of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy garu.
He added that 45 Kalyanam events have been organized over the last 16 months across various countries and that more than 2 lakh NRI Hindu devotees and locals participated in these events and sought Lord’s blessings.
NRIs thanked Hon’ble TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakar Reddy garu and EO Sri Dharma Reddy garu for extending support for performing Kalyanams in their cities of residence.
Dy. EE Sri V.J. Nagaraja from TTD oversaw and coordinated administration, and SVBC Director Sri Srinivas Reddy coordinated SVBC live coverage of the events.
