*The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the 11th International Day of Yoga (IYD) event in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh today.
The Prime Minister led the celebrations of International Yoga Day and took part in the Yoga session.Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister extended warm greetings to people across India and the world on International Yoga Day, highlighting that this year marks the 11th occasion when the world has come together on 21st June to practice yoga collectively. He remarked that the essence of yoga is “to unite”, and it is heartening to see how yoga has united the world. Reflecting on the journey of Yoga over the past decade, Shri Modi recalled the moment when India proposed the idea of International Yoga Day at the United Nations. He noted that 175 countries supported the proposal, a rare instance of such wide global unity. He emphasised that the support was not merely for a proposal but represented a collective effort by the world for the greater good of humanity. “Eleven years on, yoga has become an integral part of the lifestyle of millions across the globe”, he added. The Prime Minister expressed pride in seeing how Divyang individuals are reading yogic texts in Braille and how scientists are practicing yoga in space. He also noted enthusiastic participation of youth from rural areas in Yoga Olympiads. Shri Modi underscored that whether it is the steps of the Sydney Opera House, the summit of Mount Everest, or the vast expanse of the ocean, the message remains the same,“Yoga is for everyone and for all, Beyond Boundaries, Beyond Backgrounds, Beyond age or ability.”Expressing satisfaction at being in Visakhapatnam, describing the city as a confluence of nature and progress, Shri Modi commended the people for their excellent organisation of the event and extended congratulations to Shri Chandrababu Naidu and Shri Pawan Kalyan for their leadership. The Prime Minister highlighted that under their leadership, Andhra Pradesh launched a remarkable initiative—Yogandhra Abhiyan. He also specially appreciated the efforts of Shri Nara Lokesh, stating that he has demonstrated how yoga can be a true social celebration and how every section of society can be included. Shri Modi remarked that in the past one to one-and-a-half months, Shri Lokesh has shown exemplary commitment through the Yogandhra Abhiyan and is deserving of praise for his efforts.*

Vizag, 21st June 2025: Andhra Pradesh marked the 11th International Yoga Day with unprecedented enthusiasm as over 3 lakh citizens gathered in Visakhapatnam for a mass yoga demonstration. The event concluded the successful month-long Yogandhra campaign that engaged 2.17 crore participants statewide, creating several records.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu commended the people’s overwhelming response, highlighting how 22,122 tribal students recently set a Guinness World Record for mass Surya Namaskar. “From villages to cities, yoga has become a true people’s movement in Andhra Pradesh,” Naidu observed, noting participation across all 26 districts.
CM Naidu acknowledged the 1.44 lakh yoga trainers whose efforts enabled the campaign’s remarkable reach, including special programs at over 100 tourist sites and certifications for 1.7 crore participants.
The Visakhapatnam event showcased yoga’s universal appeal, with participants ranging from tribal communities to urban professionals united in celebrating this ancient practice. Hailing the people’s efforts, CM Naidu declared, “You have made your power known to the world. The Yogandhra campaign has set a new trend that others will follow.”
The Chief Minister noted the global recognition of International Yoga Day since its adoption by the United Nations. He credited Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in driving this impact, with Yoga Day now celebrated at over 12 lakh venues across 175+ countries and 10 crore participants worldwide. He thanked PM Modi for granting Andhra Pradesh the honor to host this historic event.
CM Naidu emphasized yoga’s role in building a healthier Andhra Pradesh, urging citizens to make it a daily habit. “When our youth embrace yoga, they gain not just health but the focus to succeed in today’s digital world,” he stated, announcing plans to integrate yoga into education and community programs. He reiterated that yoga is a powerful wellness tool in the fast-paced digital age, uniting mind, body, and spirit.
Linking yoga to long-term development, CM Naidu emphasized that the core goal of Swarna Andhra @ 2047 is a “healthy, wealthy, and happy Andhra Pradesh.”
Looking ahead, the Chief Minister advocated for yoga’s inclusion in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Olympics. He called for citizens to dedicate one hour daily to yoga, especially urging youth to adopt it for enhanced concentration and creativity in the digital era.
The celebration embodied the “One Earth – One Health” vision, aligning with Swarna Andhra @ 2047 to create a prosperous society contributing to India’s growth. CM Naidu concluded by thanking all who made the program a resounding success.

*విశాఖపట్నం, జూన్ 21*: యోగా సాధన మానసిక, శారీరక ఆరోగ్యానికి మార్గం చూపుతుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు అన్నారు. 11వ అంతర్జాతీయ యోగా దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా విశాఖ ఆర్కే బీచ్ లో జరిగిన కార్యక్రమంలో సీఎం చంద్రబాబు పాల్గొన్నారు. అంతకుముందు ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొనడానికి వచ్చిన ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీకి చంద్రబాబు ఆహ్వానం పలికారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ, “”దేశం, ప్రాంతం, మతం, భాషతో సంబంధం లేకుండా యోగాకు ఆమోదం లభించింది. శరీరం, మనస్సు, ఆత్మలను కలిపేందుకు యోగానే మార్గం. యోగా ద్వారా శారీరక, మానసిక ఆరోగ్యం లభిస్తుంది. ఒత్తిడిని అధిగమించవచ్చు, రోగనిరోధక శక్తిని పెంపొందించుకోవచ్చు. అలాగే ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం పెంచుకోవడం.. మానసిక ప్రశాంతతకు యోగా ఉపకరిస్తుంది. యోగా హింసను తగ్గిస్తుంది. శాంతిని ప్రోత్సహిస్తుంది. ఏఐతో సహా టెక్నాలజీ అందుబాటులోకి రావడంతో యోగా మరింత విస్తృతమైంది.” అని అన్నారు.
*ప్రధాని మోదీతోనే యోగాకు గుర్తింపు*
యోగా అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయికి చేరడానికి ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ కారణమని చంద్రబాబు గుర్తు చేశారు. “యోగాకు ప్రపంచవ్యాప్త ప్రాచుర్యం కల్పించినందుకు ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీకి ధన్యవాదాలు. ఐక్యరాజ్యసమితి ద్వారా ప్రధాని మోదీ యోగాను ప్రపంచ ఆరోగ్య ఉద్యమంగా మార్చారు. మోదీ చొరవతో మన భారతదేశ సంస్కృతి అయిన యోగాను 175కు పైగా దేశాలలో, 12 లక్షల ప్రదేశాలలో, 10 కోట్ల మందికి పైగా ప్రజలు అంతర్జాతీయ యోగా దినోత్సవంలో పాల్గొంటున్నారు.” అని చంద్రబాబు అన్నారు.
*యోగాంధ్ర – ఒక చారిత్రక విజయం*
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ఆతిథ్యమిచ్చే అవకాశాన్ని కల్పించి, విశాఖకు వచ్చి యోగా డేలో పాల్గొన్న ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీకి ముఖ్యమంత్రి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. “ప్రధాని మోదీ విజన్తో స్ఫూర్తి పొంది, ఏపీలో ఒక నెల రోజుల పాటు యోగాంధ్ర ప్రచారాన్ని నిర్వహించాం. దీంట్లో భాగంగా 1.44 లక్షల మంది యోగా శిక్షకులకు శిక్షణ ఇచ్చి, 1.40 లక్షలకు పైగా ప్రాంతాల్లో 2.17 కోట్ల మందికి పైగా యోగాలో పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ మేరకు రిజిస్ట్రేషన్లు చేపట్టాం. విశాఖపట్నంలో ఒకే ప్రదేశంలో 3 లక్షల మందికి పైగా పాల్గొన్నారు. 1.70 కోట్ల మందికి ధృవపత్రాలు జారీ చేశాం. శుక్రవారం 22,122 మంది గిరిజన విద్యార్థులు ఒకేసారి సూర్య నమస్కారాలు చేసి గిన్నిస్ రికార్డు సాధించడం మనకు గర్వకారణం.” అని చంద్రబాబు పేర్కొన్నారు.
*ఒలింపిక్స్ లో యోగాను చేర్చేలా ప్రధాని చొరవ చూపాలి*
“యోగాకు ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా గుర్తింపు లభించడమే కాకుండా.. వివిధ దేశాల్లో యోగాను ఆచరిస్తున్నారు. సెప్టెంబర్లో యోగా సూపర్ లీగ్ ప్రారంభం కానుండడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. యోగాను ఆసియా క్రీడలు, కామన్వెల్త్ క్రీడలు, ఒలింపిక్ క్రీడలలో చేర్చేలా ప్రధాని మోదీ చొరవ చూపాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. ప్రధానమంత్రి దార్శనికత, గత పదేళ్లుగా యోగాను ప్రోత్సహించడం వల్ల, యోగా ఇప్పుడు ఉద్యమంగా మారింది. చరిత్ర సృష్టించాలన్నా.. రికార్డులు బ్రేక్ చేయాలన్నా ప్రధాని మోదీకే సాధ్యం. యోగా మన జీవితంలో భాగం కావాలి. ప్రజలు ప్రతిరోజూ ఒక గంట యోగా కోసం సమయం కేటాయించాలి. వేగంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్న డిజిటల్ ప్రపంచంలో క్రమశిక్షణ, సృజనాత్మకత వంటి అంశాలు పెంచుకోవడం చాలా అవసరం. దీనికి యోగా ఉపకరిస్తుంది. వ్యాయామంగానే కాకుండా.. ఓ శక్తివంతమైన సాధనంగా యోగాను ఆచరిద్దాం.” అని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అన్నారు.

యోగా వల్ల సంతోషకరమైన సమాజం ఏర్పడుతోందని సీఎం చంద్రబాబు అన్నారు. వికసిత్ భారత్ లో భాగంగా “విజన్ స్వర్ణ ఆంధ్ర @ 2047 ప్రణాళికను అనుసరించి అభివృద్ధి, సంక్షేమాలను సాధించడంతో పాటు హెల్తీ వెల్తీ, హ్యాపీ ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ తీర్చిదిద్దడమే లక్ష్యం. ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రొత్సాహం వల్లే యోగా, ప్రకృతి చికిత్స, ఆయుర్వేదం, గ్రీన్ ఎనర్జీ, స్వచ్ఛ భారత్, ప్రకృతి వ్యవసాయం వంటి వాటి పునరుద్దరణ సాధ్యమైంది. మోదీ విజన్ వల్ల ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఆరోగ్యకరమైన సమాజం ఏర్పడడానికి మార్గం సుగమమైంది. వన్ ఎర్త్ – వన్ హెల్త్ స్ఫూర్తిని బలోపేతం చేయడానికి కలిసి పనిచేయాలని సీఎం చంద్రబాబు పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ఏపీలో నెల రోజుల పాటు నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమాల గురించి సీఎం చంద్రబాబు ప్రత్యేకంగా ప్రస్తావించారు. “ఇక్కడికి వచ్చిన వారితో పాటు.. యోగాడేలో పాల్గొన్న వారంతా చారిత్రాత్మకమైన కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్నట్టే. తెలుగు ప్రజలు 30 రోజుల పాటు ఒక దీక్షలా, ఒక ఉద్యమంలా యోగా కార్యక్రమాల్లో భాగస్వాములయ్యారు. సత్తా చాటారు. యోగాంధ్ర కార్యక్రమం ట్రెండ్ సెట్టర్గా నిలిచింది. నరేంద్ర మోదీ ప్రారంభించిన ఈ ఉద్యమాన్ని ఆచరించి, జీవన విధానంగా మార్చుకుని అందర్లో చైతన్యం తీసుకువస్తూ…తెలుగు జాతి ప్రపంచానికి ఆదర్శంగా నిలవాలని మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కోరుకుంటున్నాను.” అని చంద్రబాబు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరైన ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీని సీఎం చంద్రబాబు, డిప్యూటీ సీఎం పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ కలంకారీ శాలువాతో సన్మానించి.. లక్ష్మీ నరసింహస్వామి జ్ఞాపికను అందచేశారు.
