KUPPAM: My life ambition fulfilled by bringing Krishna water to Kuppam constituency which elected me as an MLA eight times, observed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. With an emotionally filled voice Chandrababu Naidu said that Krishna water reached Kuppam by flowing at a stretch of 738 kms fulfilling the long pending dreams of people of Kuppam. Dressed in traditional attire, the Chief Minister welcomed Krishna waters amidst chanting of vedic mantras by pundits at Kuppam branch canal here today by offering Jala Harati.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the NDA prepared a blue print for development of Rayalaseema region and making efforts to supply water to tail end lands of Rayalaseema. However the YSR Congress party is not in a position to digest the bringing of Krishna water to Rayalaseema. Stating that he fulfilled the dream of former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao to supply water to Rayalseema, the Chief Minister said that he inaugurated Handri-Neeva canals in 1999 and brougth water to Paramasumdram by 2025. He said the YCP is confined to false campaign and spent only Rs 2000 towards irrigation projects in Rayalaseema, while the earlier TDP government spent Rs 12,441 cr on irrigation projects. He assured supply of water to six lakh acres of land and drinking water to 33 lakh people in Rayalaseema r egion. He opined that by linking Polavaram-Banakacharla and Vamsadhara-Penna rivers both the Telugu states will benefit.
Condemning the action of YCP leaders, the Chief Minister said that while the NDA government making efforts to develop all the regions in the state, the YCP is trying to create hurdles at every stage with false campaign for political mileage. He said that the YCP even tried to create chaos in Kuppam constituency.
Referring to free travel facility for women in RTC services, the Chief Minister said women are more happy with the free travel facility and at the same time the state government will make efforts to protect the interests of Autorikshaw drivers who are losing revenue. He expressed happiness over selection of 50 candidates for teacher posts through DSC. He said Kuppam constituency has been witnessing rapid progress by attracting 3908 cr invesstments through 12 industries providing direct employment to 15600 people and indirect employment to 26581 people. He announced that Hindalco company is going to set up unit to produce I-Phone chasis.
At the same time several organisations signed MoU with AP government in the presence of Chief Minister to set up their units in Kuppam. The important MoUs include MoU with She leads organisation to develop women as entrepreneurs and to market the produce of Dwacra groups. MoU with Kings Wood Decor Pvt Ltd to produce fiber boards at a cost of Rs 1100 crore to provide employmen to to 2012 people. MoU signed with Pioneer CLean Amps Ltd to set up 2 seater training aircraft manufacturing unit in Kuppam. MoU signed with Reddy Berry Food Logistics to set up pulping units of mango, tomato and guava fruits.
