Officials explained that the construction of houses has been going on at a fast pace since December after the rains subsided.
Officials explained the measures taken in the wake of the Chief Minister’s orders to ensure that there are no quality defects in the construction of houses.
Officials explained that the stage conversion was also done well.
It has been revealed that a total of 36 labs have been set up to test the quality of house constructions.
285 tests on the quality of metal used in the construction of houses, 34 tests on cement, 84 tests on steel, 95 tests on bricks….
Officials say that wherever there is an error, it is identified immediately and the labs are being used to increase the quality.
What did the CM say on this occasion…
- The CM clarified that own house is the dream of the poor and there should not be any defect in the construction of houses.
– The CM should use these labs and conduct tests from time to time and provide the highest quality house to the poor. - Transco is giving electricity connection to the completed houses within 15 days as per CM’s orders.
– After setting up the infrastructure in the layouts, Village and Ward Secretariats should play a vital role in their maintenance.
– The CM should move forward by setting up the infrastructure in order of priority as the layouts are completed.
- Due to the court cases, the officials revealed that instead of the 2 layouts in Prakasam and Anantapur districts, alternative lands have been selected.
- It has been revealed that the construction of houses for about 30 thousand people has been delayed due to court cases, and arrangements are being made to distribute them soon.
- For this, the CM ordered to take all kinds of measures for urgent land acquisition.
- The expenditure incurred for the construction of houses till the end of January in this financial year is Rs.7630 crores.
- This government has so far spent a total of Rs.13,780 crores only for the construction of houses.
- Officials said that so far approximately 2.75 lakh houses have been completed, slab laying work is going on in another 74 thousand houses and another 79 thousand houses are at the roof level.
- Officials said that by March, work is being done towards the completion of about 5 lakh houses under the Houses for All Poor programme.
– CM review on Tidco houses too.
- The CM said that this government has provided significant assistance to the beneficiaries of TIDCO houses.
– In these three and a half years, the government has provided free registrations for construction of houses, infrastructure, free 300 feet houses, and subsidizing the remaining categories of beneficiaries on what they have paid. - According to the details provided by the officials… the cost spent by the previous government for TIDCO houses in five years was Rs. 8015 crores, but the cost incurred by this government and the benefits provided to the poor, the CM said, totaled Rs. 20,745 crores.
- The CM said that TIDCO has spent Rs.8,734 crores for infrastructure in these three and a half years under the cost of construction of houses, besides this, the benefit of Rs.10,339 crores has been given to the poor due to the free provision of 300 feet houses.
- Apart from waiving off the money they have to pay on their part, we are providing those houses completely free of charge without having to take a loan from the banks and without having to pay monthly installments, said the CM.
- As part of the relief measures for the rest, 365 and 430 square feet houses will also receive a subsidy of Rs. The CM said that 482 crores have been benefited and the government has also taken that burden.
- Also, the CM said that the government has taken another burden of Rs.1200 crores by removing the registration charges and registering the houses for free.
- The CM said that this government has put Rs. 20,745 crores on TIDCO houses as a burden taken by the government through the construction costs and benefits provided above.
- So far the government has spent on houses for all the poor.
- The total expenditure incurred by the government as a benefit of free distribution of sand and low cost materials for construction of houses is Rs.13,780 crores.
- 3,117 crores for the creation of necessary infrastructure in the colonies to start construction of houses.
- The expenditure on drinking water, electricity, drainage, roads and other facilities is Rs.32,909 crores.
- This means that the expenditure incurred for infrastructure development in Jagananna Colonies alone is Rs.36,026 crores.
- 28,554.64 acres of government land under housing schemes for the poor.
- The value of these is Rs.17,132.78 crores.
- 25,374.66 acres of land bought by the government for distribution of house titles.
- The value of these lands is approx. 15,364.5 crores.
- The value of lands distributed to the poor in Visakha is Rs.12,405 crores.
- 13,425.14 acres of other lands given for house grants.
- The value of these is Rs.11,200.62 crores.
- In total, the lands distributed to the poor in the form of house plots in all types are 71,811.49 acres.
- The value of these lands is Rs.56,102.91 crores.
- The total expenditure and program value of the Government under the Houses for the Poor scheme is Rs.1,05,886.61 crores.
- In three and a half years, the government has spent like no previous government to make the dream of owning a home come true for the poor.
