DIDAC India Event – 13th Edition

Celebrating 15 years of education excellence, Didac India is Asia’s largest & India’s only exhibition & conference bringing together the entire education and skilling fraternity along with all manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and solution providers of education and skilling resources on a single platform, thus creating synergies for the further progress of this ever – growing and important sector. The event is a global showcase of futuristic solutions that addresses the growing demand for varied resources required for the further enhancement of education and skills.
The DIDAC India Event has invited visitors and buyers from more than 35 countries. It is a perfect platform for networkingand exploring business opportunities.TheGovt of Andhra Pradesh also registered themselves for this global event for onboarding quality stakeholders from Industries and Academia. Dr Vinod Kumar V, I.A.S., MD&CEO, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporationinteracted with multiple stakeholders during his visit at the DIDAC India venue, Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. The meeting involved interaction with Senior Management of companies such as Christiani, Festo, BenQ,Janatics, AWS and many more.
During the intensive one on one discussion with each company’s representatives, the primary focus was on enhancing the number of skilled workforces in the State of Andhra Pradesh. All the company were keen on working with the Govt of Andhra Pradesh for initiatives such a Laboratory Establishment, Future skill enablement program such Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality, International Mobility Program to countries like Germany, Australia, Japan, UK etc. and Academic collaborations.
For the next step of action on these initial interactions with the multiple stakeholders, a formal agreement shall take place immediately between the two parties on the timeline, scope of work and financials required for the collaboration. Meetings will be scheduled over coming weeks to materialize the area of interventions and support which the Govt of Andhra Pradesh may provide these stakeholders for reaching the objective of potential collaborative program.The Govt of Andhra Pradesh is keen on actively scaling such partnership program through industries players for making the skills program more aspirational towards the youth.
MD&CEO APSSDC conveyed that by next year’s DIDAC event Andhra Pradesh can target to establish 5 Centers of Excellence (CoE) at 5 districts through industry partnerships. These CoEs will act as the benchmark for future expansion of CoEs in otherdistricts.
Such an outreach approach initiated by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh is an effective way to introduce the AP Skill Ecosystem at the global platform and highlight the work done by the department over the years. This builds credibility and trust amongst the potential stakeholders.
Meeting 1:Executive Secretary, Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Maldives.

Key Highlights of the Meeting:
Discussion on the possible areas of collaboration between Maldives and Andhra Pradesh in Education and Skills.
- Dr Syed Azhar Ahmed was interested in collaboratingin industry connect, international mobility of skilled workers and faculty training programs.
- We also showed its interest towards the collaboration with Maldives and shall work for further finalizing the partnership.
Meeting 2: AWS Skill Centers

Key Highlights of the Meeting:
- Amazon Web Service (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. AWS Skill Centers are where the cloud curious can discover new career possibilities.
- We shared their interest in collaborating with AWS Skill Centers for instructors lead live training, enabling participants from all technology backgrounds to explore cloud career possibilities. Built in the heart of technology hubs, AWS Skills Centers also host career networking events with local employers and organizations.
- AWS is also looking to collaborate with the State of Andhra Pradesh as IT (Information Technology) (Skills) is the dominant sector in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation program.
Meeting 3: Festo India

Key Highlights of the Meeting:
- Festo is the world’s leading provider of technical education. As a global partner for educational institutes, government, public institution, and companies, they design and establish training centers and laboratories, as well as learning systems and training programmes. They systematically prepare skilled professionals for working in dynamic and complex environments.
- Weshowed interest inutilising their existing Training Centers for World Skills competition through the expertise service of Festo.
- Festo India has an existing MoU (Memorandum of Understanding)with APSSDC in the past and would like to continue their association with the department.
Meeting 4: ChristianiSharplineTechnical Training

Key Highlights of the Meeting:
- Christiani is a holistic provider of products and solutions for technical education. It supports companies, colleges, universities and educational institutions in education and training of technical specialists according to German educational standards.
- Weproposed areas of collaboration with them for improving the quality of skill development implementation program in the State.
- APSSDC is planning to also implement Skills development at school level hence during the implementation at school level this partnership will be useful.
